International Student Services

Transfer to CSN

TRANSFERRING IN

International students who are currently attending a language program or college in the U.S. and who plan to transfer to CSN should download the Transfer In Form. CSN will issue a transfer I-20 once your current school releases your SEVIS record.

TRANSFERRING FOREIGN CREDIT

International students who have completed some university courses or earned a degree outside of the USA may have their credits evaluated by one of the following foreign credential evaluators for a fee.  You may download applications from their websites.  The International Center advises students to start this process as early as possible.  All companies require that you complete an application and submit your original transcripts, along with certified English translations:

  1. Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute (ACEI) - Select the "Comprehensive Report" option
  2. American Education Research Corporation (AERC) - Select the "Detailed Evaluation Report" and choose either "College/University Undergraduate Evaluation - Up to Two Years of Study" or "College/University Undergraduate Evaluation - Over Two Years to Bachelor's Degree" option, depending on the length of time you studied at the university level in your home country
  3. International Education Research Foundation (IERF) - Select the "Detail Report" and "Course Level Identification" options
  4. World Education Services (WES) - Select the "Comprehensive Course-by-Course" option.

You will receive official reports from the evaluators in a sealed envelope which may then be submitted to CSN's Registrar's office with a Transfer Credit Evaluation Request for final review.  This internal evaluation will determine which credits pertain to your degree program.  Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the evaluation to be completed.

TRANSFERRING U.S. CREDIT

International students who have completed some university courses or earned a degree in the US may have their credits evaluated by submitting their official transcripts for evaluation to CSN's Registrar's office. This will determine which credits pertain to your degree program. To begin the process, students must submit a Transfer Credit Evaluation Request Form to CSN's Registrar's office. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks to complete the evaluation. For more information, please call the Registrar's office at 702-651-4060 or email them at admrec@csn.edu.
