1/15/10: Off Campus Access to Library Resources is Changing
Beginning this semester (spring 2010), the User Name and Password used to access library resources from off campus has changed for both students and faculty/staff. The new method of access is:
Students:
Note: Students must have an active CSN Network Account.
User Name: A student’s user name is the last eight digits of their student C number (not the full ten characters). For example, if your C number is C000123456, then your username would be 00123456.
Password: When you validated your network account, you were forced to reset your password. Whatever you selected as your new password, will be the password you use (the same password you use for Angel and on-campus computer access).
Faculty (including adjunct faculty) and staff:
Previously, CSN faculty and staff used a generic login to access library resources from off campus. The generic login information is no longer valid. You must now use your network account (Active Directory) information to login from off campus.
User Name: Faculty and staff must use their network account/active directory username (i.e. jane.doe).
Password: Use the network account/active directory password that you have selected for yourself.
1/14/10: Library Research Workshop Schedule - Spring 2010
Need help locating quality information sources to complete an assignment for one of your classes? The CSN Library makes available dozens of full text databases, electronic book collections, streaming videos, and more – all available 24/7. Learn how to easily access and search these resources for quality information by attending a Library Research Workshop. For a complete schedule of days, times, and locations, please see the attached Workshop Schedule.
9/1/09: Course Reserves – Faculty Information
Course reserves are personal or library owned books, textbooks, articles, DVDs, videos, copies of sample tests, quizzes, research papers, or other supplemental materials that may be placed in the library reserve collections. Simply bring the reserve materials and a copy of your course syllabus to a library circulation desk along with a completed Reserve Request Form. For more detailed information, including information regarding copyright, please see the Course Reserve page.
1/26/09: Finding Textbooks in the Library
While the Library does not possess a copy of every textbook for every class offered at CSN, we do have copies of the most popular textbooks available for use within the Library. Textbooks and other “reserve” materials may be found at the Circulation Desk at each campus library. Click here for more details.
