Operations

We provide Custodial  and Grounds Services for Cheyenne, Henderson, West Charleston and all Academic & Learning Centers.


Custodial Services

Custodial Services is responsible for maintaining a clean environment within all buildings maintained by Facilities Management including classrooms, common areas and offices. Special services not included in routine maintenance may be requested as needed through the TMA iServiceDesk.

Examples of services provided include:

  • Clean restrooms and replenish supplies (daily)
  • Empty trash cans in public areas (daily)
  • Clean classrooms, floors, stairwells and walls (daily)
  • Clean classroom vertical writing surfaces (daily)
  • Clean private offices five times per week (M-F)
    * Begining the Spring 2009 semester private office will be serviced once a week. Schedule will be posted under forms and links.
  • Vacuum carpets in public areas (daily)
  • Refinish hard surface (once a year)
  • Clean carpets (once a year except specified public areas twice a year)
  • Wash windows inside and out (once a year)
  • Dust unobstructed areas as scheduled by Custodial Services
  • Respond to emergency clean up situations (as needed)
 Examples of special services may include:
  • Clean upholstery by service request only
  • Cleaning carpets more than once a year except as notied above
  • Refinishing hard surface floors more than once a year
  • Window cleaning (if desired more than once a year)
 Custodial Services does not provide:
  • Moving of heavy furniture
  • Moving personal belongings in order to clean
  • Running of errands
  • Performing personal services

Grounds Services

Grounds Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the campuses by offering a wide spectrum of high-quality services to the CSN community. Our reliable and experienced staff provides regularly scheduled support, as well as on-demand services.

If you want to make a new request to this service area, please use our TMA iServiceDesk. For general inquiries regarding ongoing work or cost estimates, please contact our Help Desk during regular business hours (7:30 am through 4:00 pm M-F).

 Examples of services provided include:

  • Trim lawns, shrubs and trees
  • Support activities related to the Desert Garden Center
  • Irrigate
  • Provide pest control services to exterior areas
  • Review of landscape plans, proposals and drawings
  • Remove refuse
  • Repair and maintenance of sprinkler systems not associated with auxiliary units
  • Maintain CSN owned streets

Examples of special services may include:

  • Provide new landscaping (does not include maintenance)
