The CSN Division of Workforce and Economic Development, Community and Personal Enrichment Programs, is currently recruiting instructors for FALL SEMESTER 2009
Fall semester dates are from September 7th to December 18th 2009.
IMPORTANT INFO
This Page will have the current semester that is being recruited for at all times. Please follow the instructions listed below for downloading files and returning your course proposal to the proper campus. The files listed below for downloading are in Word format.
If you are a RETURNING INSTRUCTOR please complete:
1) a course proposal and
2) instructor agreement form
Please do not send notes, e-mails, leave phone calls or voice mails to indicate your desire to teach a class. A form must be completed and sent to us either by FAX (651-4960) or mail. Please complete a course description only if you are making changes to the existing one. Changes to existing descriptions should be made only if absolutely necessary. It is preferable that you keep your course descriptions brief (100 words or less) and to the point. You do not need to send another resume unless you wish to update the one we currently have on file for you. Please include your name, course title and the days, dates and times you are available to instruct your class. Please do not send in a course proposal without a timeframe. If you have changed any personal information (address, phone numbers, e-mail address, etc.), please inform us. Remember that your paycheck may be delayed if we do not have the appropriate address and/or phone number.
For all NEW INSTRUCTORS applying to teach in the program, you must submit
1) a completed course proposal form
2) include a copy of your current resume and
3) an outline of your course as you propose to teach it.
Please note any materials, textbook, workbook fees, etc., if applicable. Your proposal will be reviewed and we will let you know prior to the end of August 2009 if your course has been accepted or not for inclusion into the schedule.
FALL SEMESTER DEADLINE: The last day to submit of a course for consideration into the summer semester schedule is June 12th
If mailed, your proposal must be postmarked on or before the deadline. If we do not receive your course proposal by the deadline, we will assume you are not interested in teaching in the program.
ROOM/FACILITY SCHEDULING: Due to the dynamics of facility scheduling and the expansion of fee-based, non-credit programming, your location sections come to us as recommendations. We will make every attempt to accommodate your request, however you need to be prepared to instruct your class at any of the CSN sites located throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
We look forward to reviewing your information and course submittals for the upcoming semester. Again, you may FAX your information to 651-4960 or mail to:
