Suzanne Acosta; MFA & BFA University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

"Suzanne Acosta is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, Design Fundamentals I (2D), Painting I, and Painting II since 2005. Acosta's artwork explores the interaction of the human figure in a contemporary narrative as well as portraiture in mixed media. Acosta has been teaching studio arts for 36 years and lives in East Las Vegas with her three grown children. She loves to travel, and her last trip was to Brazil in 2019.

Myranda Bair; MFA, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA); BFA, University of Texas at Austin

"Myranda Bair is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Art Appreciation, Drawing I, and Design Fundamentals I (2D) since 2013. Bair's artwork focuses on conservation, environmental practices, and scientific illustration. Her artistic practice has contributed public artworks to communities across the country. Bair also participates in conservation focused art education for National Conservation Areas, the BLM, and other environmental groups."

Chris Bauder; MFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas; BFA,  University of Nevada Reno

"Chris Bauder is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Sculpture I and Design Fundamentals II (3D) since 2002. Bauder's artwork addresses ideas of time, preservation, and the fragility of the human body. Ideas stemming from self-discovery and relationships around rituals are major conceptual components working with his perceptions about life expectancies and the ideas of ephemera. Bauder was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978. He received his BFA from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1998. BFA in hand, Bauder returned to Las Vegas concluding his fine arts education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Bauder earned his MFA degree in 2008 with an emphasis in sculpture."

Mark Brandvik; MFA University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill; BFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Mark Brandvik is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Painting, Sculpture, Drawing I, Drawing II, Life Drawing, and Design Fundamentals I (2D) since 2013. Speaking of his work, Brandvik says "Time and place are important notions as many elements in my artwork reflect and capture the elusiveness and temporality of architectural landscapes, postcard romanticism, 45mph drive-bys, and historical dramas.  Sublime narrative and allegorical threads link individual works that map a journey through secular and sacred spaces as iconic, historic, and pop culture imagery frame my personal memories within a collective archaeology." Brandvik, born in Las Vegas, was included in ‘Tilting the Basin’ Contemporary Nevada: State of the State at the Nevada Museum of Art, Reno, Top Ten Now Los Angeles, New American Paintings No. 60, and was recognized in Las Vegas Weekly as Best of 2014 for Narrative Sculpture. His work has been featured in exhibitions and public art projects throughout the United States and abroad and can be found in private, public, and corporate collections."

Keith Conley; MFA University of California, Santa Barbara; BA, San Diego State University

"Keith Conley is a Professor of Art & Art History and Head of Sculpture at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Design Fundamentals I (2D), Design Fundamentals II (3D), Design Fundamentals III (Digital), Drawing I, Drawing II, Sculpture I , Sculpture II, Life Drawing, Digital Imaging I, Digital Imaging II, Digital Media, and Art Appreciation since 2001. "My artwork," says Conley, "lies somewhere between the pointless and the profound. Lately, digital work has been my focus." Originally from California, Conley has wandered the mountains, beaches and deserts of the west for many years. He is currently in his 22nd year of a self-imposed 40-year sentence in the desert."

Nancy Deaner, MFA & BFA University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Nancy Deaner is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Drawing I since 2017. Deaner's artwork investigates the beauty and lyrical quality of animals using them like a design element within the composition. Deaner is a native Nevadan, born in Reno and raised in Las Vegas. She earned her BFA and MFA degrees from UNLV."

Daryl Depry; MFA & BFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Daryl Depry is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, Design Fundamentals (2D), and Printmaking since 1999. DePry's artwork is derived through the printmaking medium. He is enticed by the process and the labor intensity the medium offers. DePry makes prints in cycles with different types of printmaking, ranging from stone lithography, wood cuts, monotypes, intaglio and letterpress. His subject matter floats between figurative and abstract landscapes. DePry enjoys working in layers of color and mark making. His color palette is informed by the spectacle of the Las Vegas strip and its lights and Japanese Ukiyo-e and Mokuhanga prints."

Lolita Develay; MFA, University of Nevada, Las Vegas

"Lolita Develay is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Drawing I, Painting I, and Design Fundamentals I (2D) since 2015. Develay's artwork is a response to her life environment and reflects its transitions. Her work speaks to her ancestors and to future generations of what, she, living in this moment in time, her lifetime, she is able to experience. It explores social issues that impact her as an American, recently focusing on self-identity, ideals of beauty, sexuality, concepts of race, and spiritual beliefs. Develay is a High Priestess of photorealism. Her oil paintings and watercolors are painted in trompe l’oeil (deceives the eye) with abstract shapes embedded throughout. Develay is currently painting portraits that deal with the idea of self-gaze, artificial intelligence and moments of self-actualization."

Jeff Fulmer; MFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas; BA, Wabash College

"Jeff Fulmer is the Art Gallery Coordinator and an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, Painting I, Painting II, Art Appreciation, Sculpture I, Ceramics I, and Portfolio Emphasis since 1998. Fulmer's work makes use of Mojave and Sonora Desert forms as vehicle to investigate texture, pattern, light, repetition, unity and variety. He serves as a Faculty Senator and a member of the Administrative Faculty Assembly Executive Committee at CSN and as the current Vice Chair of the Clark County Board of County Commissioners’ Art Committee."

Lindsay Hall; MFA, Indiana University-Bloomington; BA, University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Lindsay Hall is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Drawing I, Design Fundamentals I (2D) and Design Fundamentals II (3D) since 2019. Hall's artwork revolves around the pleasures and desires associated with the body, sexuality, and food. These ideas are fantasized through the interplay of suggestive forms, materials, colors, and textures, resulting in playfully provocative and humorously awkward pieces and parts. Hall is a multidisciplinary artist and has exhibited her work internationally at venues such as Ventolin Art Space (Australia), the Venice Biennial (Italy), Kent State University (Ohio), Indiana University, UNLV, the Target Gallery (Virginia), and the Janet Kurnatowski Gallery (New York), and is featured in publications including Studio Visit, Hiss Mag, Spunk, and Create! Magazine’s International Women’s Issue. Lindsay is currently an Adjunct Professor at CSN and NSC, and she is preparing for a residency at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in the summer of 2021."

Anne M. Hoff; MFA, University of Arizona; BFA, Indiana Univeristy; AS, Vincennes University

"Anne M. Hoff is a Professor of Printmaking and Drawing in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, Design Fundamentals (2D), Life Drawing I, Life Drawing II, Introduction to Printmaking, Screenprinting, New Technology Printmaking, and Portfolio Emphasis since 2000. Hoff's artwork makes use of the Nevada landscape as an interpretive tool of expression for personal narrative. She employs large scale drawings, traditional printmaking and sculptural elements to create environments that work to create an atmosphere of reflection and silence. Hoff's work is in university, museum, and corporate collections across the United States. She exhibits her work widely in local and international portfolios, invitational, and educational conferences and workshops. Hoff's stone lithography studio is part of the B.E.S.T. Arts 4 U Studio, in Las Vegas, Nevada."

Benjamin Johnsen; MFA, University of New Mexico; BFA, University of Nebraska-Lincoln

"Benjamin Johnsen is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Sculpture I, Design Fundamentals I (2D), Design Fundamentals II (3D), and Ceramics I since 2017. Johnsen's artwork is rooted in the ordinary but strives to find the mundane as something greater. Breathing life into the everyday object with a sense of playfulness, wonder or even unbearable pain. In combining elation and tragedy with humility, Johnsen attempts to describe the intangible nature of being human. Benjamin Johnsen was born in Omaha, Nebraska. After receiving his degrees, he took the post of adjunct professor starting in 2013 and received adjunct professor of the year in 2015 at the University of New Mexico-Valencia. In 2016 he was hired as a visiting lecturer at the University of New Mexico-Valencia where he also served as the Fine Arts area coordinator and gallery director."

Elizabeth Klimek; MFA, University of Tennessee- Knoxville; BFA, West Virginia University

"Elizabeth Klimek is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Art Appreciation since 2005. Klimek's current work is about her family and her mother's battle with Alzheimer's disease. Klimek is an artist mainly working in the printmaking medium. Her work has been included in collections such as the Library of Congress in Washington DC, and The Contemporary Art Museum, Hong-ik University in Seoul, Korea."

Alfonso Lirani; BFA School of the Art Institute of Chicago; MA & MFA Illinois State University

"Alfonso Lirani is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I, Design Fundamentals I (2D), Color Theory, and Watercolor since 2004. Lirani’s work reflects his real life experiences and observations of the environment. Before coming to the United States, Lirani was a topographer, cartographer and worked part of his life in the Amazon region. He never stopped painting even when he was on assignment in rural Venezuela. These experiences have all had an influence on Lirani’s work and for that reason his work reflects his love for the environment and interest in political figures and affairs."

Wayne Littlejohn; MFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas; BFA, University of Manitoba

"Wayne Littlejohn is a Professor in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, Color Theory, Design Fundamentals I (2D), Design Fundamentals II (3D), Life Drawing I, Painting I, and Painting II since 2000. Littlejohn's intention is to make his work unabashedly bold, distinct from a distance, but nuanced when up close. While providing contrast to the surroundings, the sculptural elements must integrate seamlessly with the environment. Littlejohn first came to Las Vegas in 1994 to join UNLV's graduate art program. It was only supposed to be a brief stint, but he has made the city his home, expanding his artistic footprint through his work and students at UNLV and now, CSN, where he teaches fine art."

Orlando Montenegro-Cruz; MFA, Univesity of Arizona; BFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Orlando Montenegro-Cruz is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I and Drawing II since 2016. Speaking of his work, Montenegro-Cruz says; "The American Dream is that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It's called The American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it." Montenegro-Cruz was born in Nicaragua during a time of social and political turmoil. When things did not get better, his mother wanted her family to live a better life in America. In the late 80s, Montenegro-Cruz immigrated when he was still a child who had only completed the first year of grade school. Montenegro-Cruz still remember how he "pledged allegiance to the flag in a land where there is liberty and justice for all, supposedly, or, if you can afford it"."

Daniel Ogletree; MFA, University of Tennessee - Knoxville; BFA, Baylor University

"Daniel Ogletree is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, and Fundamentals of Design I (2D) since 2017. Ogletree's artwork is about bad design in social, political, and economic systems. Ogletree lives with his wife, Katherine Farley, in Las Vegas, NV. When they are not teaching art or making art, they are most likely hiking, camping, backpacking, or climbing."

Manfred Peter O’Hare; MA, University of Duesseldorf; BA, Califronia State University Long Beach

"Manfred Peter O'Hare is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Art Appreciation since 2005. O'Hare's artwork is inspired by abstract expressionism and music. He transforms abstract ideas into three dimensions by fusing musical ideas, color theory, and texture. O'Hare incorporates a wide array of materials such as glass, metal, fabric, and plastic elements to achieve a unique sense of harmony and a visual interest that engages the viewer. His art is vibrant, full of movement and whimsical, at times, with dynamic lines and colors that fascinate the viewer."

Mary L. Parker; MFA & BFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Mary L. Parker is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Design Fundamentals I (2D), Drawing I, and Drawing II since 2009. Parker's artwork deals with memory and subconscious thoughts which are often brought to the surface by triggers in our lives. Often, subtle images are not quite recognizable, much like a dream where we can't quite recall the bits and pieces. Parker received both her Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts degrees in drawing and painting from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Besides being a part-time instructor at CSN, Parker is also the gallery director for Left of Center Art Gallery in North Las Vegas."

Eric Pawloski; MFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas; BFA, California State University Chico

"Eric Pawloski is an Art Preparator and an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Sculpture I and Beginning Sculpture Foundry since 2012. Pawloski's artwork has moved away from nonfunctional traditional display to a functional manufactured product that is equally hard to sell. Working with cast metals for years, recently Pawloski has been exploring production in ceramic slip. Pawloski has also returned to fabrication and traditional building techniques."

Sean Russell; MFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas; BFA, University of Wisconsin-Stout

"Sean Russell is a Professor in the Art & Art History Program and Assistant Department Chair of Fine Arts at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Fundamentals of Design I (2D), Art Appreciation, Introduction to Contemporary Art, and Portfolio Emphasis since 2008. Russell’s current body of work involves digital and full spectrum photographs of native flora, processed on painted and manipulated surfaces using experimental photo transfer techniques. His work has been in numerous local and national exhibitions and he has created multiple public artworks around the Las Vegas valley."

Jennifer J. Saracino; MFA, Washington State University; BFA, Academy of Art University; AA, Palomar College

"Jennifer J. Saracino is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Art Appreciation, Fundamentals of Design I (2D), and Drawing I since 2019. Saracino's artwork focuses on the abstract. It explores the use of design and media to challenge how one perceives their surroundings. Her work has been included in numerous group and solo exhibitions across North America and has been featured in several periodicals. Saracino's process of transferring her photography to aluminum plates adds a special depth and nuance to the original composition, one that can only truly be appreciated in person."

Fred Sigman; MA, University of New Mexico; BA, University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Fred Sigman is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I, Photography, Art Appreciation, Survey of Asian Art, Art of Africa, Oceania, Native America, History of Cinema, and History of Photography since 1987. Sigman was born in Appalachia and now lives in Cambodia. In between, he had two sons, a couple of careers in the arts, and once spent an afternoon with Buzz Aldrin. Part visual artist, part writer, always a nomad, whether from Machu Picchu, Kathmandu or Uluru, Sigman always comes home with a story."

Robin Stark; MFA, Pennsylvania State University; BA, University of California Davis

"Robin Stark is a Professor of Art & Art History and Head of Ceramics at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Design Fundamentals I (2D), Ceramics I, and Ceramics II since 2005. Stark creates sculptural forms and vessels which are a fusion of observations of the things around her. Inspiration can be found in the texture or color of another ceramic piece, the movement or posturing of the human figure, the complex yet simple natural environment, or the arrangement of a particular piece of music. Throughout her creative profession Stark’s ceramic art pieces have been featured in solo and juried national exhibits as well as local public art projects. Stark's ceramic work has also been awarded an Artist Fellowship, an Artist Fellowship Honorable mention, and three Jackpot Grants from the Nevada Arts Council."

Christopher Tsouras; MA & MFA, University of Wisconsin Madison; BFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas

"Christopher Tsouras is a Professor of Art & Art History at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, Color Theory, Photography, Introduction to Digital Photography, Art Appreciation, Ceramics I, and Ceramics II since 1998. Tsouras believes art making is a deep-seated inextricable human compulsion. He considers art an exceedingly complex and sophisticated language, a tangible engagement of mind and materials, and a transcendent means of communication. Tsouras strives to create a point from which the viewer can relate to his artwork as the result of their unique individual associations and personal metaphors. He was born in Northern Arizona in 1962 and presently maintains a studio and resides in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a professional artist, Tsouras’s artwork has been exhibited widely throughout the United States and in Europe. Tsouras’s artwork has received numerous awards and honors."

Joanne Vuillemot; MFA & BFA, University of Arizona

"Joanne Vuillemot is a Professor Emerita of Art & Art History at the College of Southern Nevada where she has taught Drawing I, Drawing II, Fundamentals of Design, Jewelry I, Jewelry II, and Sculpture since 1976. Vuillemot's artwork reflects nature and the tradition of using precious metals for wearable art, despite a request for justification for its use by her graduate advisor, Michael Croft. The question today is; “What methods, including who is being exploited, are used in mining gold or silver?”."

Stanley Michael Webb; MFA, Queens College CUNY; BFA, University of Michigan

"Stanley Michael Webb is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Art & Art History Program at the College of Southern Nevada where he has taught Design Fundamentals I (2D), Drawing I, and Sculpture since 2019. Webb's artworks are stories playing out right before our eyes. He communicates viscerally with movement both figurative and non-figurative. Webb is from has lived primarily on the East Coast. His work reflects these experiences. Webb has worked in all mediums but now focuses primarily on sculpture."
