CSN's Nevada System Partners
The CSN Education Department empowers our students and communities to achieve, succeed and prosper. The Education Department at CSN also provides our students with transferrable options to all NSHE colleges and universities in our state. The core courses, degree programs, and certificates in both the Early Childhood Department and Education Department of CSN can be used to meet many, if not all, of the required lower division requirements at our other Nevada System of Higher Education partner schools. Below you will find direct links to customized Education Department content you can use to formulate the best decision to meet your personal upper division educational goals.
When continuing your education beyond CSN, you will find that our NSHE partners below provide you with a number of different pathways and specializations to meet your ultimate licensure intentions. These regularly change, so it's important to review the current information posted by our partner institutions below.

An Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund Grant was awarded to the CSN Education Department to provide wrap-around services to several cohort groups beginning in January 2021, and ending in Fall 2022. The intended candidate for this grant are those currently employed in a school, in either a support staff or substitute teacher role, and also for those who may be considering becoming a licensed substitute teacher in the near future.
Those accepted into the program will be provided with the resources listed below, and upon completion of the six month program, will earn their "Highly Qualified Substitute Teacher Certificate" from CSN. The transferrable courses that make up the certificate can also be used to satisfy the Core requirements for an AA degree in Education from CSN, or be used as transfer credits to one of our NSHE partners as the foundation for either a bachelor's degree or education minor.
