Gender shapes human consciousness and helps determine the social, economic, political, and cultural organization of human society throughout history.
Why Study Women's Studies at CSN?
Students who enter the Women’s Studies Program will be exposed to the historical and contemporary issues of gender.
Successful graduates earning an Associate of Arts Degree in Women’s Studies can transfer to a four-year institution to continue their studies. Bachelor’s degree graduates can seek positions such as social services coordinator, rape crisis center community education coordinator, food bank program manager, and health services project administrator.
These and other related careers could require a more advanced degree.
