Students pursuing our Certificate of Achievement in Practical Nursing will benefit from an innovative curriculum, state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment, hands-on learning, and clinical rotations through a variety of health care settings. The Practical Nursing Program also has a certificate that allows for military medics and corpsmen to bridge from medic/corpsman to practical nurse.
Why Study Practical Nursing at CSN?
The program is fully approved by the Nevada State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), a requirement for state licensure.
Practical Nurses enjoy careers in physicians' offices, hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care settings, and home health care.
