We are proud to be a designated American Heart Association Training Center serving Southern Nevada. Our Training Center promotes the mission of the American Heart Association, fighting heart disease and stroke, by offering quality AHA training courses in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support to the community. The Training Center also serves to support affiliated instructors who require certification, the latest training information, materials and course completion cards. Our instructors and training sites represent all areas of the Southern Nevada healthcare industry. In addition to our regularly scheduled classes, all classes can be customized and scheduled at a time and location that meets your specific needs.

Patient Care Dialysis Technician
This Program prepares students for a successful career as a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT). This course will cover a minimum of 100 hours of didactic/Lab & 210 hours of clinical experience based on the National Accreditation for Nephrology Technician (NANT) organization guidelines. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be awarded a certificate of completion. Participants will then be eligible to apply for the national certification exam.

School Health Assistant
The School Health Assistant training course provides enhanced health care education as it relates to the duties and tasks performed by School Health Assistants in the Health Office setting at Clark County School District schools. The SHA course includes 75 hours of instruction in a 4-week course that combines online (virtual) instruction and in-person (live) skills training. Lesson quizzes and skills pass-offs are used to ensure existing and newly hired School Health Assistants are competent with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully fulfill the job responsibilities of a SHA at CCSD.
Community Health Worker
Become a frontline public health worker to make a difference in your community and facilitate access to community services in necessary resources such as: housing, food, education, employment, and healthcare access.
- Evaluate a client's needs & create plans to address them.
- Case management with documentation and reporting requirements
- Impact of culture and socio-economic status on an individual's health
Communication strategies - Navigate Nevada health care systems and reduce barriers to services
- Identify community resources

Upon completion of this training students can apply to become a Certified Community Health Worker.
