GETTING AROUND
Buses: The Las Vegas bus system is called RTC. A current fare and time schedule can be found at rtcsnv.com.
CSN students can purchase discounted RTC bus passes at the CSN Bookstores.
Taxi: There are many taxi companies in Las Vegas, and they are much more expensive than taking the bus. It is customary to pay the driver 15% of the fare as a "tip".
Uber and Lyft: Are rideshare services that connect through their cell phone app. Cars are newer, cleaner, and sometimes cheaper than a taxi. Search for the Uber or Lyft application in the app store on your mobile device and download the application of your choice.
Rental Car: Cars are available to rent for drivers possessing a valid U.S. driver’s license and can be reserved at daily, weekend, weekly or monthly rates. Minimum age requirements may apply* and a major credit card is typically required to make a reservation.
*The typical age for renting a car in the United States is 25 years of age. Policies vary by company.
